Harvey was waiting for Shawn with host Vancouver, but after they put on the vintage 80s uniforms things went downhill as Shawn won 5-1 and got a second chance against Noel in the finals.  In real life, Detroit is #1 and Tampa is #30 in the NHL... In table hockey it was about the same, with Shawn winning 5-2 for his 1st tournament victory.

Kevin once again had a great opening, getting the bye to sit in 2nd, but then dropping the game 5-1 to Donnie in the playoffs. Curtis' #4 Canucks beat out Dan's #5 Hartford 4-3. Tim got no trophies and will have to practice for the next time.

Dec 19, 2007: Tournament #240. 4 Players: Noel, Kevin, Curtis, Matt.  Hosted by Hartford (because the logos were still on the board from last time). A return to Brockville for Xmas proved a great opportunity for some table hockey compared to the table hockey stagnant Victoria.  Matt and Curtis play in their 1st full tourny in almost 2 years, and Kevin did real good too!  A shifty trade before round 1 saw the Leafs end up sitting out the tournament, Oh Snap! After 3 rounds of head busting, Noel's Blue Jackets faced off against Curtis' Red Wings.  The "Navy Blazers" won 6-2 and advanced to the finals.  Kevins #2 Sabres lost 3-1 to Matts Predators.  The finals was a wild affair, with the Blue Jackets breaking a 3-3 tie to win 5-3.  Matt suffered his 100th career loss in the final game.

Mar 23, 2007: Tournament #239. 3 Players: Noel, Corey, Ryan Bo.  Hosted by Anaheim.  This tournament started on Dec 16, 06 and finally ended on Mar 23, 07 - making it the longest ever.  Ryan joined in round 2, and his teams played the same number of games as Noel's and Corey's.  The California Golden Seals also re-joined the league for the start of round 2.  After 2 regular rounds and a third double round, Noel's #1 Oilers would play Corey's #2 Kings.  Noel won 5-2, and waited for the winner of the Kings vs Ryan's Nordiques.  Corey beat Ryan 1-0 to advance to the Finals.  The Final was the best game of the long tourny.  Noel scored 3 goals, but still had to hang on for a 3-2 Oilers win over Coreys Kings.  We need more table hockey players in Victoria.  Geographically, this was the farthest west tournament ever played, (some of it anyway (Ryan's games-room))

Dec 31, 2006: Tournament #238. 8 Players: Noel, Tim, Donnie, Kevin, Junior, Shawn, Trevor, Curtis.  Hosted by Hartford.  Noel wins the All-Star Game by not being bumped off the board.  Curtis played only 2 games, with Atlanta, and didn't finish the tourny.  Junior and Shawn were both rookies to the game.  Trevor finished his 7 games with 1.5 pts total - possibly (probably) the worst ever - but he did win the ugly sweater award later that night.  After 2 rounds Trevors #7 Colorado faced Shawns #6 San Jose to qualify for the playoffs.  Shawn won 2-1 and then faced Donnie and the #3 Flyers.  Donnie won 3-0.  Junior's #5 Coyotes beat Kevin's #4 Senators 1-0.  The Coyotes then faced Tim with his #1 Blackhawks, and were messed up pretty good, 8-2.  #2 Noel took out Donnie with the Oilers 4-2 to advance to the Finals.  The Final game of 2006 was also the best game of the year.  Noel scored with about 30 seconds left to win 1-0 over Tim.  Tim finally got a trophy for one of the years Retro X-Mas tournys.  Noel: 3 Coleco Stanley Cups & 1 Abbott St. All-Star Trophy, Greg: 1 Stiga Stanley Cup & 1 Coleco Runner Cup, Aaron: 1 Coleco Runner Cup,  Tim: 1 Coleco Runner Cup.

Dec 30, 2006: Tournament #237. 3 Players: Noel, Tim, Greg.  Hosted by Philadelphia.  Games were played on the Power Play 2.  Round 1 games were 3 min, Round 2 onward were 5 min.  After 3 rounds, Noel brought #1 Carolina to the playoffs to face Greg's #2 Pittsburgh.  Greg won the game 3-1, to advance to the finals.  Carolina got a second chance, and beat Tim's #3 Boston Bruins 4-1.  In the Finals Noel took a 3-0 lead. Greg fought back, but the game ended at 3-2.  Greg also stubbed his toe really bad. YAY!.

Dec 26, 2006: Tournament #236. 4 Players: Noel, Tim, Greg, Aaron.  Hosted by Calgary (pt2).  A return to Ontario brings us this 6 hour Coleco/Stiga double header.  In Coleco:  All teams wore either retro or alternate uniforms.  After 3 rounds of play Noel's #1 Oilers took out Tim's #4 Capitals 3-0.  The Oilers had previously beat all 3 opponents in round robin play.  Aaron's #3 Thrashers upset Greg's #2 Mighty Ducks 5-4 in OT.  Greg played too well during the regular season, so he had to lose in the playoffs.  The Finals was an intense game, which ended 3 seconds into OT.  The Oilers beat Atlanta 5-4 in OT.  On the Stiga side, Aarons #1 LA Kings got upset by Gregs Quebec Nordiques.  Noel was hoping to continue his Stiga dominance, but His #3 Dallas Stars were brought down by Tim's #2 Boston Bruins 3-1.  Since Greg had played so terribly in Stiga that day, it was only "logical" that he beat Tim in the Finals...and he did.  Every player but Tim won a trophy today.

Oct 17 to Dec 14, 2006: Tournament #235. 4 Players: Noel, Corey, James, Brian.  Hosted by Buffalo.  This is the first full tourny to be played since the league has moved to Victoria, BC.  Although this ranks as one of the worst tournaments ever, it shows that anything can be salvaged...kinda.  Round 1 was completed between the 4 players from Oct 17 to Dec 1.  After that, James moved to Edmonton, and Brian was never heard from again.  Corey adopted James' and Brians' top 3 teams, and along with his top 3, played Noel's top 3, three times each.  Corey's top 3 of 9 went on to play Noel's #4 team.  In the end it worked out that Noel's New York Rangers would face the Winnipeg Jets in the finals.  NYR won 5-0.  Expect better things over the next little while, as a visit home to Brockville is planned....

June 10, 2006: Tournament #234. 3 Players: Noel, Aaron, Tim.  Hosted by Calgary (pt 1).  Tim wins the All Star Game, where allowing 3 goals gets you eliminated.  The Florida Panthers rejoin the league after a 60 tournament absence.  Quebec introduces a vintage 1972 WHA alternate jersey.  The 1st round games were 3min long, all other games were 5min.  In the playoffs:  Noel's #1 Detroit Red Wings beat Tim's #2 Hartford Whalers 3-2, to advance to the Finals.  Aaron's #3 Winnipeg Jets then took out the Whalers for good with a 4-2 win.  Noel took both games of the finals: 3-2 in OT and 7-3, and the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup.  Noel wins with a team other than one of his favorite five (EDM, MIN, CBJ, NYR, CAR) for the 1st time since Dec 26, 2003.  Tim hasnt missed the Finals in a tourny he's played in since #200.

Apr 15, 2006: Tournament #233. 3 Players: Noel, Aaron, Scott.  The first tournament for Scott since Dec 2004.  Hosted by NYI (pt 2). The Washington Capitals introduce a new blue, late 90's alternate jersey. All games were 3 min in length and were intense.  In the playoffs:  Noel's #1 Carolina Hurricanes beat Aaron's #2 Ottawa Senators 4-2, to advance to the Finals.  Scott's #3 Chicago Blackhawks then lost 5-2 to the Sens, giving them a second chance in the finals.  Noel took both games of the finals: 5-1 and 4-1, as Carolina upgraded their Runner cup to the Stanley Cup.  Lack of practice + alcohol + HNIC on TV + random play music = fun times.

Mar 5, 2006: Tournament #232. 5 Players: Noel, Tim, Aaron, Donnie, Curtis. For the first time some old members meet some new members. Hosted by NYI (pt 1).  Some round robin antics included one of Donnie's NJ players breaking in half, and Noel scoring 10 goals on Curtis.  Aaron faced off with Tim for the 1st time since Dec 2004.  For the playoffs: Donnie's #4 New Jersey Devils played a deflated #5 Curtis and Colorado.  NJ wins 3-1.  Aaron's #2 Dallas Stars were seeing stars after Tim layed down some capital punishment, winning 7-2 with #3 Washington.  Noel's #1 Hurricanes blew away Donnie's Devils 4-2, to face Tim in the Finals.  In game 1:  Noel blew a 3-0 lead to lose 5-4 in OT.  In game 2 Tim felt what a 7-2 loss was like.  In game 3 the favor was returned, and Tim won 7-3, giving the Washington Capitals the Stanley Cup.  "Kevin would be proud."  Carolina has been in 3 of the last 6 Finals.  Curtis says: "Thanks for handing my ass to me."

Feb 7, 2006: Tournament # 231.  3 players: Noel, Matt, Curtis.  Hosted by San Jose, this tourny was played like the last one, with a shorter break between rounds 1 and 2.  Noel put on a clinic, especially with Minnesota and Edmonton, destroying opponents.  For the playoffs, Noel's Minnesota beat Matt's Calgary to advance directly to the finals.  Curtis' Montreal beat Matt in game 1, but the Flames came back with 2 wins to knock off the Canadiens.  The Wild then swept the Flames 2-0 in the finals.  Matt played 6 straight playoff games.  Noel had 86 GF, 46 GA.  Anahiem reaches a record 139 tournaments without a pennant win.

Jan 26, 2006: Tournament # 230.  3 players: Noel, Matt, Curtis.  The 1st 3 player tourny since Dec 2004. The All Star Game was hosted by Quebec (part2), Noel wins.  Round one was played in the afternoon, Curtis was off to a fine start with 6 wins while Noel and Matt had just 4 each.  The other rounds and playoffs were finished at night; where Curtis' luck turned sour.  Noel's Carolina Hurricanes beat Curtis' Tampa Bay Lightning to advance directly to the finals.  Matt and the host Quebec Nordiques then took out Curtis' Lightning in a best of 3 sweep.  The Nordiques then swept the Hurricanes 2-0 in the finals.

Jan 10, 2006: Tournament #229. 5 Players: Noel, Matt, Donnie, Curtis, Kevin. Hosted by Quebec (part 1).  Curtis went from his best tourny ever, to last place. While Kevin discovered a new friend in the Philadelphia Flyers, and finished 2nd seed.  For the playoffs: Curtis #5 New York Islanders made some noise vs Matt's #4 Nashville, winning 6-2.  NYI stayed on the board to face Noel's #1 Minnesota. The game was 1-1 until 4 goals in the last 1:30 by Curtis put the Isles up 5-1.  Donnie's #3 Calgary Flames took out Kevin's #2 Flyers 3-1, and Kevin hated life again.  Curtis' Islanders continued their playoff dominance, beating Donnie's Flames 6-1 in the finals. Curtis takes a page from Greg's book: playing all tourny with a bad record, and winning with only one team, to sweep the playoffs.

Jan 4, 2006: Tournament #228. 5 Players: Noel, Matt, Donnie, Curtis, Kevin. The first tourny of 2006 was hosted by Phoenix - They introduced new retro alternate uniforms.  Curtis had his best tourny ever: 7-1-1-1, while Kevin had his worst 0-9.  For the playoffs: Kevin's #5 Nashville played a tight game with Noel's #4 Runner Cup Carolina, until a last minute fury put the Canes up 7-3. Curtis took the #2 Ottawa Senators past Matt's #3 Boston Bruins 2-1 in OT.  Donnie was warned about taking Tim's champion Blackhawks, they placed #1, but he could not grasp their power and lost 2-0 to Noel and the Hurricanes.  Curtis was up 3-1 in the finals but Noel sent the game to OT. Noel's Carolina beat Curtis' Ottawa 4-3 in an intense final game.

Dec 27, 2005:  Tournament #227.  2 players:  Noel vs Tim.  The holiday rivalry continues.  Aaron and stupid Gerg mysteriously dont show up to play.  After 3 lack-lustre rounds of play: Tim's favorite Chicago Blackhawks faced Noel's recently abandoned Carolina Hurricanes.  Game 1 was won by Tim 3-2.  Tim then swept the series with a 4-3 OT win.

Dec 23, 2005  Tournament #226.  2 players:  Noel vs Tim.  An holiday match-up between 2 high-skill players. Tim saved his power teams for the end of round 1, and lost them all, while Noel's power teams made it into the next rounds only to be picked away at by Tim.  After 3 rounds: Tim brought Nashville to the Finals to face Pittsburgh.  Game 1 went to Noel's Penguins 5-4, in OT.  Tim then doubled up on the Pens 4-2 to send the series to game 3.  The Preds held onto an early lead to win the Cup 3-1.  This was the 2nd time that Tim took someone else's team to a repeat win.  Today Matt couldn't play as he had no car, in #118, Greg couldn't play as he had no clean clothes, and Tim won with Greg's Florida.

Dec 19, 2005  Tournament #225. 6 Players:  Noel, Donnie, Curtis, Matt, Kevin, Dan.  This special tournament was hosted by Tampa Bay. The All Star Game was won by Kevin.  Dan plays his 1st tourny since July 1. In Halifax, peers fear him at table hockey since " he's in a league".  During this tourny, Matt wins his 100th career game. Matt's #1 Nashville Predators ended Kevin's 2 game unbeaten streak, knocking out the Penguins 2-0. In the Finals, Noel's Wild scrammbled once again, but could not overcome the intense play of Matt and the Predators.  Matt wins 5-3, it was his 100th career win.

His #5 Canadiens beat out Kevins #4 Blackhawks 3-0. Noel took the #2 Minnesota Wild past Matt's Quebec Nordiques 2-1, in OT. Donnie's #1 Boston Bruin knocked out Curtis' Montreal Canadies 4-3. Noel's Wild scored 3 unanswerd goals after giving up the 1st one off the opening faceoff, for a 3-1 win over Boston in the Finals.

Kevin ranked 5th with Buffalo and was defeated 2-1 by #4 Noel and the Carolina Hurricanes.  Donnie, who placed 1st with Toronto defeated Carolina 3-2 in ot.  Noel had a lack-lustre day, losing a record 4 regulation games to Abbott St.  #2 Curtis' Montreal lost an intense game to #3 Matt's Quebec 3-2 after 4 min of OT.  In the finals Donnie beat Matt 3-2, giving the Toronto Maple Leafs the Stanley Cup for the first time in 128 tournaments.  Later on in the night, an unofficial "micro" tourny was held.  6 players picked 1 team, and played 4 games each in a round robin.  Matt won the Micro Champions Cup with Quebec, beating Curtis' Montreal.

(not to be confused with Ryan H from #205 - who was a half decent rookie).  After just 2 rounds, the playoffs took shape: Noel's #1 Blue Jackets faced off vs Nashville, coached by Ryan.  Columbus won, advancing to the finals.  Donnie's #2 Flyers beat Dan's #3 Washington.  The Blue Jackets then beat the Flyers in a close 4-3 final game.  Noel tied and lost to Dan once each, and also lost a game to Donnie in OT once -- The tables may be turning....  Ryan however, is the worst player ever - and likes it that way.  Hosted by Toronto, Donnie outscored everyone 4-0-0-0 in the 5 min All-Star Game.

May 23, 2005 Tournament #205. 7 Players:  Noel, Donnie, Curtis, Matt, Kevin, Dan, Ryan H.  Opening the tourny was the All Star Game in Chicago: 6 players competed for half a box of McDonalds fries, Donnie wins. A highlight of round 1 was rookie Ryan beating Noel's champion Rangers with host Chicago.  After 2 rounds of play Dan's #7 Whalers lost to Matt's #6 Avalanche.  It took 5:36 of OT, the longest in modern tourny history.  Matt's Avs then took out Kevin's #3 Capitals.  Curtis took the #4 Sens past Ryan's #5 Blackhawks.  Donnie took top seed for the first time, but the #1 Maple Leafs couldnt beat the #6 Avalanche. Noel's #2 Columbus Blue Jackets beat Curtis' Senatons to face the surging Avs in the finals. The Blue Jackets won the Stanley Cup, Matt won the Runner Cup with Colorado. Matt is the lowest seed ever to reach the finals.  Noel's game winning streak ends at 45.  Ryan H. is the 50th person to participate in a tournament.

May 18, 2005  Tournament #204. 8 Players:  Noel, Donnie, Curtis, Matt, Dan, Kevin, Pete, Trevor.  Opening the tourny was the All Star Game in Washington: 5 players competed for a new hat, Donnie wins. This was the 1st ever 8 player tournament.  After 2 rounds of play Kevins's #8 Avalanche lost 1-0 to Noel's #1 NYR.  Donnie's #2 Bruins took out Dan's #7 Flames 4-1  Curtis took the #3 Sharks past Pete's' #6 Blackhawks 2-0, while Matt's #4 Nordiques knocked off Trevor's #5 Penguins 1-0.  Noel's NY Rangers narrowly beat Matt's Nordiques 3-2 , while Donnie's Bruins came from behind to beat Curtis' Sharks 3-2. The Rangers won the Stanley Cup 3-1, Donnie won the Runner Cup with Boston.  Round Robin games were split between the Power Play 2 and Coleco Stanley Cup Playoff tables. Playoff games were all played on the new and improved, super customized Power Play 2.

May 15, 2005  Tournament #203. 7 Players:  Noel, Donnie, Curtis, Matt, Dan, Nicholas, Amber.  Opening the tourny was the All Star Game in Long Island, NY: 5 players competed for a delicious Orange Crush, Donnie wins.  Kevin didnt play in the rest of the tournament, like last time.  This was the 1st ever 7 player tournament.  After 2 rounds of play Amber's #7 Bruins lost to Nick's #6 host NYI.  Matt's #3 Canadiens took out Nick's Islanders for good.  Curtis took the #4 Sens past Dan's' #5 Whalers.  Noel's #1 NY Rangers beat Curtis Senators, while Matt's Canadiens upset Donnie's #2 Calgary Flames. The Rangers won the Stanley Cup, Matt won the Runner Cup with Montreal. The #2 seed has been upset by #3 the last 3 tournaments.  Noel's fab four have won the last 4 tournaments (Min, Edm, CBJ, NYR)

May 7, 2005  Tournament #202. 5 Players:  Noel, Donnie, Curtis, Matt, Steve.  Opening the tourny was the All Star Exhibition Game in Vancouver: Noel 16 vs Kevin, Matt and Curtis 4.  Kevin didnt play in the rest of the tournament.  After 2 rounds of play there were 2 playoff upsets.  Steve's #5 Bruins took out Matt's #4 Thrashers (Steve's only win of the day was a good one).  Donnie took the #3 Leafs past Curtis' #2 Islanders.  Noel's #1 Blue Jackets beat Steve's Bruins to play Toronto in the finals.  Columbus won the Stanley Cup, Donnie won the Runner Cup with Toronto - what he was trying to do last time.

Mar 25, 2005  Tournament #201.  4 Players: Noel, Donnie, Kevin, Curtis.  After almost 3 months without tournament play, we have a 4 player tourny with a new cast of characters.  After 3 rounds the playoffs took shape: Noel's #1 Oilers faced off vs real-life arch nemesis Dallas, coached by Kevin.  Edmonton won, advancing to the finals.  Curtis' #2 Montreal lost to Donnie's #3 Winnipeg Jets in OT.  The Oilers then beat the Jets to win their 34th pennant.  The outcome was deemed inevitable, but much fun was had by all.  Kevin is the first American born player to join a tournament.  Hosted by Calgary, there was no All-Star Game today.  This was the 1st tourny since the NHL season was cancelled.

Mar 19, 2005  Exhibition games are held at Donnie and Kevin's house on Abbott St. to attract interest in table hockey tournaments.  There is much anticipation, and people are pumped to play in a tournament.

Dec 29, 2004 Tournament # 200.  5 players: Noel, Aaron, Tim, Scott Greg.  100 tournaments ago, the Minnesota North Stars came from 4th place to beat the Ottawa Senators.... but first, the All Star Game was hosted by Philadelphia: Points-- Aaron 5(shoot-out), Greg 4, Noel 2, Scott 1, Tim 0.  After 2 rounds of play, the best of 3 games playoff structure was determined. Noel's 4th place Minnesota would play Greg's 5th place Winnipeg.  The winner would play Tim;s 1st place LA Kings.  Aaron's 2nd place Ottawa would play Scott's 3rd place Buffalo.  Minnesota swept Winnipeg 2-0.  Minnesota finally got revenge on Greg for beating them in #150.  Ottawa beat Buffalo 2-1.  Buffalo wore coloured uniforms the whole tournament for some reason.  Minnesota then upset the LA Kings 2-1 to face Ottawa in the finals.  In a best of 5, Minnesota beat Ottawa 3-1.  This is the same result as tournament #100.  A new record of 4 tournament have been played in 4 days.

Dec 28, 2004 Tournament # 199.  3 players: Noel, Aaron, Tim.  The Lightning return to the playoffs and win their first ever playoff game as a team (old or new).  Aaron's Lightning beat Tim's Hartford Whalers to advance directly to the finals.  Noel's Carolina Hurricanes then beat the Whalers 2-1.  The Hurricanes swept the Lightning 2-0 in the finals. If that were ever a real life finals, hockey would die.  All Star Game was hosted by Nashville: Points-- Tim 3, Aaron 1, Noel 1.

Dec 27, 2004 Tournament # 198.  3 players: Noel, Aaron, Greg.  The Tampa Bay Lightning make the playoffs for the first time since re-joining the league.  Noel's Columbus Blue Jackets beat Aaron's Ottawa Senators to advance directly to the finals.  The Senators then took out Greg's Lightning.  The Senators swept the Blue Jackets 2-0 in the finals.  All Star Game was hosted by Carolina: Points-- Noel 4, Aaron 2, Greg 2.

Dec 26, 2004 Tournament # 197.  3 players: Noel, Tim, Greg.  Greg makes his first appearance since Dec 14, 03.  Tim wins his first tournament since Feb 22, 04. Columbus get 200th win vs Tim's Anahiem Mighty Ducks.  Noel's New York Rangers beat beat Tim's Colorado Avalanche to advance directly to the finals.  Tim's Avalanche then took out Greg's Phoenix Coyotes 2-1.  The Avalanche swept the Rangers 2-0 in the finals.  All Star Game was hosted by New Jersey: Points-- Noel 9, Tim 1, Greg 1.

Dec 23, 2004 Tournament # 196.  3 players: Noel, Aaron, Tim.  The New Jersey Devils end the second longest winless streak at 122 tournaments.  The "Blue Terror" also comes to an end, but Oilers get 300th recorded win vs Aarons Dallas Stars.  Aaron's New Jersey Devils beat Noel's champion Oilers to advance directly to the finals.  Tim's Chicago Blackhawks then took out the Oilers for good 2-1.  The Devils swept the Blackhawks 2-0 in the finals.  All Star Game was hosted by Colorado: Points-- Tim 3, Aaron 1, Noel 1.

Dec 18, 2004 Tournament # 195.  2 players: Noel, Aaron.  Noel wins a record 8th tournament in a row, extending the streak of "Blue Terror", winning with the fully re-built Oilers.  The best finals series in a while saw the Oilers beat Aarons Flyers 2-1. Each team had an OT win.  The all Star Game was hosted by Pittsburgh: Noel 4 - Aaron 3.

Dec 11, 2004 Tournament # 194.  2 players: Noel, Aaron.  A very high scoring tournament by both players.  Rangers continue their insane dominance of the league, beating Aaron's Senators 2-0 in the finals.  Rangers have won 4 of the last 6 tournaments. All Star Game was hosted by Quebec: Noel 10 Aaron 8.

Dec 9-10, 2004 Tournament # 193.  2 players: Noel, Aaron.  The New York Rangers explode in this 2 day tournament with 9-0 and 5-0 shutouts.  They beat Aaron's Capitals 2-0 in the finals.  All Star Game was hosted by San Jose: Noel 6 Aaron 4.

Dec 5, 2004 Tournament # 192.  2 players: Noel, Aaron.  Noel wins with the Columbus Blue Jackets, defeating Aaron's New Jersey Devils 2-1. The All Star Game was played on the Coleco Game Room: Noel 6 vs Aaron 2.

Nov 21, 2004 Tournament # 191.  2 players: Noel, Aaron.  Noel wins with the Columbus Blue Jackets on their 100th anniversary.  Columbus was also the host and gets a special logo on the pennant.  Aaron has been trying to be the 5th player to win with Winnipeg, but got swept 2-0 for the 3rd tournament in a row.  All games were played on the Coleco Stanley Cup Playoff board.  The All Star Game was played on the Halex 3D Super Dome: 1st player to 10 wins: Noel 10 vs Aaron 2.

Nov 13, 2004 Tournament # 190.  2 players: Noel, Aaron.  Hosted by Stanley Cup Champion New York Rangers.  The Rangers went on to win this tournament with a huge home ice advantage.  After crushing Hartford 9-2, they tied CGY, beat ATL in overtime, then swept Aaron's Flyers 2-0 in the finals.  NYR had the same record and point total as tournament #189.  The All Star game was played on the Halex 3d Super Dome.  Noel wins 10-6.  If Aaron is to win tournaments, he'd better bring teams he actually likes into the finals.

Nov 6, 2004 Tournament # 189.  2 players: Noel, Aaron.  Hosted by Phoenix, this tournament also marked the 175th anniversary of CGY, HAR, QUE and WIN.  These teams (plus EDM and VAN) brought out their retro uniforms to celebrate.  Aaron wins the All-Star game 4-3, had a better record, but lost the finals 2-0 to Noel's New York Rangers.  You play better when you have teams you like. It didnt help that his finals team was Chicago.

Oct 23, 2004 Tournament # 188.  3 players: Noel, Aaron, Dustin. All games were played on Power Play 2 game, which brought out much anger and frustration due to the crazy playing style and weird goals of that game.  Noel brought Columbus into the quarter finals vs Aarons Atlanta.  The winner of the 1 game series was Atlanta, who advanced directly to the finals.  Noel then played Dustin's Chicago in a best of 3 semi finals, winning 2-0.  The best of 3 finals went to Noel's Columbus, eventually, beating Atlanta 2-1.  This is the 4th time these two teams have met in the finals (CBJ is 3-1).  Atlanta was the host of a new formatted All Star Game.  Everyone plays on the Coleco Game Room.  Whoever scores stays on, most goals after 6 minuutes wins.  Aaron 7 GF, Noel 2 GF, Dustin 0 GF.

Oct 16, 2004 Tournament # 187.  3 players: Noel, Aaron, Dustin.  Dustin wins his 2nd tournament, again with the Calgary Flames.  Calgary beat Aaron's Ottawa Senators 2-1 in the best of 3 finals, after beating Noel's Maple Leafs 2-1 in a best of 3.  The Sens also beat the Leafs because Toronto is the biggest playoffs choke in the league.  Dustin may have replaced Greg as a member, having only 2 wins in 16 round robin games, then winning the playoffs.

Oct 9, 2004 Tournament # 186.  4 players: Noel, Scott, Aaron, Dustin.  This was an enjoyable tournament.  Scott selected Detroit 1st because they were the easiest to reach from where he stood.  Scott also won #86 with Toronto,(their last championship).  Beacause the Maple Leafs hadn't won in 99 tournaments, it was enevitable that they would play well.  Noel brought Toronto to the finals after beating Aaron's Runner Cup Capitals.  Scott's Red Wings defeated Dustin's Flyers, then the Maple Leafs in the finals.

Oct 2, 2004 Tournament # 185. 2 players: Noel vs Aaron.  In the 3rd round Noel had Min., CBJ, and Edm.  Aaron had Van., Ott., and Washington.  Finally our favorite teams are doing well after 2 not so good tournaments.  Of course Washington had to spoil it.  It was announced that this was to be the last tournament for the Capitals (and possibly Phoenix)and Aaron took Washington to the finals where they were swept by Minnesota 2-0.  Since they hold the Runner Cup, Washington will be in the next tournament. The league will be resized from 32 to 30 teams soon.

Sept 18, 2004 Tournament # 184. 3 players: Noel, Aaron, Dustin. After Dustin's first appearance in #182, we thought we had a good new rookie. 5 of his 6 wins were against Amanda, so the true challenge was this tournament.  In the playoffs: Aarons Thrashers were bumped to the semi-final round by Dustin's Flames, who advanced to the finals.  Noel's Devils then knocked out the Thrashers for good, but couldn't put out the Flames.  Dustin wins his 1st tournament, beating Noel 2-1 in best of 3 final.  Derek has been the only other rookie player to win in his second tournament.

Sept 11, 2004 Tournament # 183. 2 players: Noel vs Aaron.  What two teams would you never want to watch in the Stanley Cup Finals?  Well if Carolina vs Dallas was your answer, stop reading now.  Noel's Hurricanes beat Aaron's Dallas 2-0 in best of three finals.  Carolina also won tournament #83, on their 25th anniversary.  Dallas makes the playoffs/finals for the first time.  On Sept 11th, NYR and NYI were the first two teams eliminated from the tournament.  This was a cruel tournament.

Sept 6, 2004 Tournament # 182. 4 players: Noel, Aaron, Amanda, Dustin.  1st rookie player since #120, Dustin finishes 6-6-3-2. This was Amanda's first tournament that didn't include Scott.  Aaron's Vancouver Canucks defeat Noel's NYR 2-1 in best of 3 finals.

Aug 29, 2004Tournament # 181. 2 players: Noel vs Aaron.  Aaron takes the Calgary Flames to their 3rd finals in a row, but Columbus brings them down 2-1 in the best of 3 series.  Columbus wins their 4th in 6 tournaments.

Aug 21, 2004 Tournament # 180. 3 players: Noel, Aaron, Tim.   A double tournament day: In Stiga, Noel wins his 9th tournament in a row, and 4th in a row with Pittsburgh.  In Coleco, Aaron returns to the playoffs with the Calgary Flames.  This time they beat the Champion Rangers, then Tim's Quebec.  Calgary is the 1st Runner Cup winner to return to the playoffs, finals, or win the Stanley Cup.  All players had even .500 records. Its the first time thats ever happened. Plus, Tim becomes the first players to score with his goalie on the Game Room.  Lots of records today in both Coleco and Stiga.

Aug 7-8, 2004 Tournament # 179. 2 players: Noel vs Aaron.  Played in the style of the Lindsay tournaments against Derek.  Except this was done in 2 days instead of 10.  Thats 88 games in 2 days! A Wild Card round was also introduced.  Noel's New York Rangers win, beating Calgary 4-1 in best of seven final.  Rangers finish 13-1-0-0 with 51.5 pts.  All Star Game hosted by Tampa Bay: Aaron 11 - Noel 3

July 21, 2004 Tournament # 178. 4 players: Noel, Scott, Aaron, Amanda.  A THREEPEAT FOR COLUMBUS!!!  The Blue Jackets score no fewer than 6 goals in each of their games.  Aarons Canucks are the Runner Cup winners.  Most goals scored in 1 game record: Scott San Jose 10 vs Aaron Hartford 9.  Each players had 1 pulled goalie goal and 1 empty net goal.  Thank-you to special musical guests Stone Temple Pilots.

July 2, 2004 Tournament # 176. 2 players: Noel vs Aaron. Noel wins with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus beat Ottawa 3 - 1.  Ottawa has been in 5 of the last 7 playoffs.  Dallas Stars join the league, replacing California, and lose 1st game 8-2 vs Tampa Bay.  Philly may have been proved a Fluke after losing 8-1 to CBJ in round 1.  Aaron passes Greg in career wins.

June 25, 2004 Tournament # 175. 3 players: Noel, Aaron, Scott. Aaron wins with the Philadelphia Flyers. This is the 1st win for the Flyers since #36 (138 tournaments ago, July 29, 99) about 5 years. Philly beat Scott's Nashville 2 - 0, after they both beat top ranked Columbus.  California folds and will be relocated to Dallas at the end of this one.  The biggest hit of the night was listening to The Cars 1st album, and other old cds.
